I have to say, as someone who LOVES eating breakfast, Over Easy Kitchen is the perfect place to head to if you’re looking for fabulous food and a place where you can get “breakfast all day”, or a light lunch.
Don’t let the location in a strip mall fool you! It may not look like much on the outside, when you step inside you’ll feel at home. It’s one of the cutest family-feel restaurants in Marlboro, NJ which offers tables or counter top service.
It’s not a huge restaurant, so there may be an occasional wait, the Marlboro, NJ public feels however, the food is worth the short wait. There is a fabulous selection of egg dishes and the Nutella Pancakes topped with fresh strawberries and powdered sugar is a favorite! OEK also offers paninis, sandwiches, fresh salads, and burgers. Their daily ‘specials’ menu is like a “sweet surprise”. It’s different every time and it keeps your options interesting. After one visit to this fabulous newer addition to the town, you’ll understand why It was a “no brainer” that Over Easy Kitchen made the list of Top 10 restaurants in Marlboro, NJ.

2. Cuzin’s Seafood Clam Bar $$$
Elegant yet casual, many Marlboro, NJ residents would agree that Cuzin’s is not your grandmother’s “family restaurant.” This is one of the very best restaurants in Marlboro, NJ founded in 2016. Cuzin’s has served up a delicious selection of seafood to our Marlboro community, with fresh fish and shellfish imported daily. You can enjoy a lobster cocktail, oysters, or larger seafood entrées. If you’re anything like me, an appetizer kind of gal, the tuna sashimi is to die for! Although not listed on their site, their dessert menu gets 5 stars too! There is truly something here for everyone. Many like to start with the cold appetizers and raw bar, but that’s not to say the hot appetizers aren’t amazing also!
Cuzin’s is definitely not a low key place, in fact it can get quite loud. Thursday nights they have a DJ which brings in a fun crowd. I do believe that when people take the time to consider the top restaurants in Marlboro, NJ, they truly do look at atmosphere. If you want something special, different and occasionally loud, this may be the perfect spot for you!

Yup, I’m going to admit it, this is one of my favorite spots to grab a quick lunch or dinner in Marlboro, NJ, and it seems I’m not alone in that decision. La Rosa may compete with some of the fancier restaurants in Marlboro, NJ, but the food at La rosa is top notch ALWAYS. You never walk into La Rosa and don’t see a nice crowd. The service is always amazing and you’re always greeted with a smile. La Rosa offers roasted and grilled Chicken, a variety of delicious sandwiches, and wraps. It has also been said repeatedly that,“The ribs literally fall off the bones and the flavor just explodes in your mouth.” Side dishes consist of fresh seasoned vegetables, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and The BEST macaroni and cheese anywhere -yes, I mean ANYWHERE. Bold statement, ehh? Yes, it is! Don’t believe me? Give it a try, head on in and order just a side dish of the most delicious Mac and Cheese you’ve ever had! Yes, the chicken is delish, but let me tell you, those side dishes…… It’s hard to pick just 2. I promise you, you’ll understand just what i’m talking about when you pop in for a bite to eat and have to make a choice. Not sure what you’ll decide, but I promise you can’t go wrong no matter what you choose! During lunch hours, many often run in to grab a bowl of their made fresh daily soups or salads.

Opening in 2016, Galata Turkish & Mediterranean Cuisine is known for outstanding traditional Turkish cuisine. Galata is owned and operated by 2 Turkish-American partners. The chef and staff have an amazing amount of skill and experience creating incredible dishes! For those of you who are not familiar with Turkish style food, what could you expect? There is a wonderful range of Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine with fantastic flavors! For those who have been lucky enough to dine in Turkey, many of the locals say the food is SO authentic some dishes taste better here in Marlboro, NJ than in Istanbul! These owners pride themselves on presentation and fresh food. Fish and Baklava are flown in from Turkey and are never frozen. A majority of their ingredients are organic. Because lamb is such a popular addition to many Turkish dishes, all lamb is organic and grass fed!

Parli italiano? Well, if you don’t speak Italian, here’s a little bit of interesting information! Osteria translated in Italian literally means “a place where the owner hosts his guests. Osteria, one of our top restaurants in Marlboro, NJ prides itself on authentic Italian dishes that come from family recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. This fantastic atmosphere is a top choice for many Marlboro locals to spend a night dining having incredible food. I will tell you, plan ahead an make a reservation. I attempted to get in there on a Saturday night and to my surprise, it was a 2 hour wait! I guess when the owners provide such a feeling of warmth and welcoming, people flock to this establishment to spend a night dining just like in Italy! You have 3 choices of where to dine: indoors in the gorgeous dining room, al fresco, or in the private wine room. None of the restaurants in Marlboro, NJ offer this variety, so no matter where you choose, I promise you will NOT be disappointed. If you aren’t in the mood for a huge fancy meal, their pizzas are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Each Pizza is cooked in a 900º wood oven. How much more authentic can you get then that? Another reason I love Osteria is that all dishes are prepared to order. If you have allergies, all you need to do is inform your server. They offer gluten-free pasta as well as whole wheat pasta. I mean come on, is it hard to see why Osteria made it into the list of Top Restaurants in Marlboro, NJ?

La Cucina Nouveau prides itself on creating dishes that express their commitment to freshness. Influenced by the artisan food culture in Italy and brasseries in France, this menu will knock your socks off! Not to mention that it’s obvious that a genuine chef prepares all dishes. Everyone I spoke with said that the presentation here is beyond perfection, and that many dishes that are just simply not offered anywhere else local. I mean COME ON, we are only up to the first 6 of Top Restaurants in Marlboro, NJ and each one seems to offer something spectacular and unique.
So yes, it’s Italian but no, it’s not your “average” Italian food. This is not your typical lasagna and spaghetti with meatballs kind of restaurant. Instead, they have braised filet mignon with chicken and sausage in a chianti herb reduction. The food is incredibly fresh, especially the fish! People come from miles around to order their octopus. This gem out of many restaurants in Marlboro, NJ is also one of the best kept secrets when it comes to lunch specials. These incredible dishes are offered Tuesday – Friday each week. Words cannot truly describe what La Cucina Nouveau offers, when you dine here, they have a way of making you feel not only “wanted”, but everyone who comes through their doors feels extra special. If atmosphere is what you are after, look no further than Sam Vera which offers a cocktail lounge and a stunning dining room with open air terraces. Did you know that this incredible Marlboro, NJ restaurant was previously voted most romantic restaurant in Monmouth County? There is always soft music playing in the background, and the warm candle light and fresh flowers truly make the setting at Sam Vera one of a kind. For the wine lovers out there, Sam Vera should be a MUST on your list. I mean, come on, when was the last time you saw a wine menu like this locally?
On to the business of food, from the Antipasti, to the insalate, and the zippu to the pasta and finally the second di pesce to the second di carne, Sam Vera has an extremely broad menu -it’s no wonder it on the list of top restaurants in Marlboro, NJ. The home breads and creative homemade desserts are also not to be missed. The veal chop Milanese carpricciosa, the bass Marechiare, the zuppa di pesce, the double cut veal chop, and the grilled salmon, are just some of the favorites on this wonderful menu.

Burgers, now you’re talking my language! Of course when I asked around, the locals all voted Burger Bros as one of the best Restaurants in Marlboro, NJ. What could be better than a hot, juicy burger and fries? In my world, not much and these burgers are just plain fantastic! Wait, wait…I almost forgot to mention something that could be better -one of their killer MILKSHAKES!
I do have to say Burger Bros is one of the great restaurants in Marlboro, NJ. But if burgers aren’t your thing, they have delicious salads. It doesn’t end there, from hot dogs to chicken sandwiches, to Buffalo wings, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Now I may have said I was a “burger gal,” but what I should have said is that French Fries are my thing too. Check out their selection next time you stop in. Cheese or Bacon Cheese fries? Maybe chili cheese fries are your thing? I promise you that whatever you choose, they are sure to please! Not only do you get a fabulous meal at a decent price, it’s very rare that you enter and don’t see many local Marlboro, NJ friends.

Locals consider Koy to be a wonderful find amongst the many restaurants in Marlboro, NJ. Koy has become a favorite for many people. The first thing that everyone mentions about this hidden gem is how inviting the atmosphere is and how incredibly warm and friendly the entire staff is. The owners took the time to revamp the entire restaurant and want to offer its clientele a true feeling of “royalty” when they dine. Koy offers an extensive menu (they even offer a kids menu). There is a varied choice of salads, cold and hot appetizers, chicken, beef and lamb entrées or combination platters so you can experience a little “taste” of everything. They also offer a few seafood options, as well as vegetarian options. Whichever you choose, you MUST save room for dessert. The Baklava has been described as the best anywhere in the area -especially the pistachio flavored one. Who knew that such delicious food was offered right here at one of the restaurants in Marlboro, NJ.
Many people were not aware that Koy Turkish Grill also offers weekday lunch specials Mon. – Fri. from 11:00am to 3:00pm. How can you go wrong with a starter, a main course and a beverage for $12.00. (please keep in mind the entrées are lunch sized portions)

10. Nonna’s Citi Cucina $$
It is easy to understand why Nonna’s made the list of The Top 10 Restaurants in Marlboro, NJ. From the moment you walk into Nonna’s Citi Cucina you feel such a sense of warmth and welcoming feeling. Although a bit dark compared to the other restaurants in Marlboro, NJ, it’s a beautiful space with a gorgeous fireplace in the main dining room. There is a separate bar area, as well as a few private dining rooms for parties and gatherings. Nonna’s offers wonderful Happy Hours and half-priced wines. Check here for days and times!
The food is very, very good. Keep in mind the price in NOT low, but the patrons feel it’s worth the money. The menu is divided into sections consisting of lunch, dinner, FAMILY STYLE, dessert, bar menu and wine and spirits. For the wine drinkers alike, you’ll find quite a nice selection. It seems that almost every Marlboro, NJ resident around -or at least the people I have been speaking to tell you,- “head to Nonna’s for their Family Style”.
For those of you who haven’t experienced family style dining before, let’s be clear. These are “generous family style platters designed for sharing”, and they mean sharing. We went with a party of 14 a few months ago. We ordered a few of the family style dishes and even after all of us had huge portions, there was so much food left over!
Note: Nonna’s offers a dinner take out menu. Although the food is fabulous, I truly feel the atmosphere is worth visiting. A night out at one of the top restaurants in Marlboro, NJ is a must!
