Everyone should be familiar with their local library, are you familiar with yours? That’s what I”m talking about today, let’s get started!

As your Local Monmouth County REALTOR® I love helping people navigate through the home buying process. I also love sharing information all about Monmouth County, the towns throughout and what’s going on locally!

So today I wanted to take you all on a tour of the Monmouth County Library, however, there are 13 branches total throughout the county that make up our library system and that would take too long. So i’m here at the Main Headquarters located in Manalapan.

The other 12 branches are located in:

Allentown
Atlantic Highlands
Colts Neck
Shrewsbury (The Eastern Branch)
Hazlet
Holmdel
Howell
Marlboro
OceanTownship
Oceanport
Wall
West Long Branch

Technology

The library of today is very different then what some of us may be used to. The technology at all the branches is incredible. For example, all the branches offer Mobile Print Services. You can simply submit documents for virtual printing from anywhere using your laptop or mobile device to the library’s printers. You can then pick up your print documents at selected library locations using your email address. Black and white prints are 15 cents per page.

They also offer One-on-one job search assistance for job seekers is available at Monmouth County Library Headquarters in Manalapan and at Eastern Branch Library in Shrewsbury.

Legal Information

Looking for an extensive legal collection? Don’t worry we’ve got you covered. The Eastern Branch located in Shrewsbury is the largest public library legal collection in the tri-county area. The collection encompasses state, Federal, statutory, administrative, regional case law, legal forms, as well as articles from legal journals and law reviews.

There is so much going on

Programs for every age level can be found in the library system. They have programs for toddlers, young adults, the elderly and everyone in between. They even have a therapy dog program. It’s amazing. One really interesting thing is that they have children to practice reading to dogs. The kids feel comfortable and nobody judges them as new readers! How cool is that? Did you know they do concerts and book discussion groups?

The Adult Calendar

Take a few moments and check out the monthly adult calendar that the library puts out. They have so many things going on. They offer classes including health and wellness, art programs, games, business and finance. They offer support groups, concerts and more.

Proximity

As for location, I think it’s fair to say there is library located pretty conveniently close for all Monmouth County residents.

It’s really so simple

All you really need is a library card. If you don’t feel like taking a trip to the physical library, you can go online, enter your number and use all the technology and research. You can also access everything right from your smartphone. Many books are available as online downloads. Seriously can it be any easier?
