Ocean Grove is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Neptune Township, on the Atlantic Ocean’s Jersey Shore, between Asbury Park to the north and Bradley Beach to the south. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Ocean Grove is noted for its abundant examples of Victorian architecture.
Also Ocean Grove is a town rich in tree-lined streets, lakes, and parks. The main avenue is “Small Town USA” with a variety of restaurants, quaint shops and stores providing daily necessities of life. Easily accessible by car, train and bus, the Grove is about an hour from Philadelphia and New York City.

In 1897, the site in Ocean Grove was leased to the school district for the purpose of creating Neptune High School, a comprehensive four-year community public high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grades.
Neptune Township Schools is one of New Jersey’s 31 former Abbott districts. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Secondary Schools since 1929.

Ocean Grove is a popular spot on theJersey Shore known for its Victorian homes and charm. There is fabulous boutique shopping, and wonderful places to eat and snack. This ecelctic shore town is also home to “Tent City”. Tent City a colony of canvas tents that are available for rent in the summertime. Yes, you heard right. You can rent a tent. These aren’t your average, camping tents; and there is quite a waitlist to even get one. But what is the draw and what makes these tents so special.
The tent community is unique. “Why would anyone live in a tent for the entire summer?” But after all it’s a tradition. The tents date back to 1870.
